New JRC has launched two new sensors (NJL5311R & NJL5513R) in its optical sensor series for the design and development of portable devices in health monitoring and Fitness areas. These sensors will further enhance the interface with Analog Front End (AFE) components of portable devices for monitoring physiological changes the. By measuring heart rate and SpO2 (the ratio of oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor hemoglobin in the blood), these sensors will make product development easier. Such products have recently had a large increase in the market, in terms of heart rate and activity monitors.
